Then indeed the Church has entered a new era, which means the way in which believers have grown accustomed to flowing and functioning together cannot remain.
Surrender
The population of My Church is undergoing some reconstruction.
I am working through the current circumstances in the nation to effect internal change within each of them, for I do not waste a single moment to bring growth into their lives. My children should count this season of adversity with joy, for even in the midst of this continuing lockdown, I am working all things out for their good. So, during these difficult days, if they will establish this broader vision in their hearts, then an end to the quarantine won’t be the only miraculous change that happens in their lives.
The significance of a challenge is born out of the adversity experienced.
For through the depths of a trial lies the point of transformation, where the old beliefs are exchanged for the new, and faith once again has the opportunity to abound. For here is the reason behind the struggles of life: not to punish, but to bring growth; where life must be examined with spiritual eyes so that the real issues can be vetted and understood.
“Are you willing?” is the question I ask each of My children.
“Are you willing to walk the difficult road of denying yourself in order to see My promises fulfilled? Are you willing to seek Me even when your heart is not in the battle and you have grown weary of fighting?”
Beloved, I will always challenge My children to go against their natural inclinations; to battle against their flesh and its pull to live a comfortable life.
For this is the way of man: to live out his days in pursuit of what makes him happy at the moment. Because the heart of mankind is fickle, he is prone to change his mind on a whim, as his flesh is always crying out to be satisfied. Yet what it takes to subdue this voice is always shifting, leading many to embark on a “chase” to find the one thing that will silence its urgings.
To most, the path forward would seem to be rather logical, held in a straight line of sight (as if moving from A to B like positions on a map), measuring progress by calculating the steps required to obtain the goal that’s set like a finish line.
So, onward is the push, thinking effort will bring happiness, with performance held as the strategy for producing a long-lasting sense of usefulness. But what most don’t consider, is how rapidly these lively feelings disappear. For the emotion generated after they reach each mark will quickly vanish, turning into just a memory; an experience of the past with no sentiment attached, leaving behind an empty void.
I have the power to transform a life!
Consider the analogy of the butterfly: often it is used to draw a comparison of what a person goes through when they become one of My children. At first, something unattractive marred by sin, then through the process of metamorphosis becomes something new, something beautiful. With brightly colored wings caught in a breeze, this once dim creature has the ability to flutter about, enjoying the new stage she has entered.
